FAQs
WHAT WILL THE FACILITY ENTAIL?
As it is currently planned, the space will include male and female locker rooms and 10,000 square feet for wrestling mats. The building has 50-foot ceilings and retractable curtains that allow for indoor/outdoor training. This is especially important as we continue to navigate COVID, as the natural light and fresh air flow will produce a safer environment. With the sponsorship funding, we will be adding new UWW wrestling mats, wall padding, and branding.
WHAT TYPES OF TRAINING WILL BE DONE AT THE GNE Fitness TRAINING CENTER?
We will offer Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco, and Collegiate-style training at the facility. And we will offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced training sessions. Coaches will be hired for all levels and styles.
WHAT IS THE MONTHLY FUNDRAISING GOAL?
In order to make GNE training center a reality, we need to raise $15,000 in monthly recurring commitments for the 3-year lease.
IS GNE Fitness TRAINING CENTER ONLY FOR ADVANCED WRESTLERS?
No. This project will allow us to integrate all levels of wrestling including Division I, community college, high school, middle school, and youth. It will be the space for Central Ohio wrestlers to train together year-round.
Will there be a possibility of private lessons?
Yes. Various private lessons, camps, and clinics will be held on-site and available to founding members at a discounted rate.
Will there be a coach onsite at all times?
Yes. There will be an elite-level coach who will be hired and designated to the training and development at this facility, club practices, and club competition.
What will my investment purchase for the GNE Fitness Training Center be?
Your sponsorship of the project will go directly to the following purchases, as well as maintenance of the facility:
USA wrestling mats – ~$45,000
USA wrestling signage – ~$20,000
Wall padding – ~$15,000
Apparel – ~$10,000
Exercise equipment – ~$7,500
Technology – ~$5,000
How much does it cost to sponsor an individual wrestler?
The cost to train at the facility is roughly $100 per wrestler. Your $500 sponsorship will ensure 5 wrestlers get the opportunity to train. Through your sponsorship, you and/or the coach can select the wrestlers who will be supported.
How can I sponsor the facility through my business or through my family name?
If you’re interested, there are several tiers of sponsorship available that are accompanied by branding throughout the Training Center:
Tier 1 – $500 monthly commitment
Logo or family/team name on website and social media channels
Tier 2 – $1,000 monthly commitment
Tier 1 benefits plus banner within the facility
Tier 3 – $1,500 monthly commitment
Tier 1 benefits + Tier 2 benefits; logo or family/team name on the outside window
